My mom and I started Poochie Pants because we were both in need of a dog diaper that worked.  As simple as that. 

Our story:  My mom's dog, Regin, a toy poodle got hurt around 2001 jumping off a bed and became incontinent.   My dog, Mason, loved to mark his territory then became incontinent with renal failure in his old age.

In order to save the carpet and furniture from accidents something had to be done.  After searching the Internet there were no products for male or female dogs other than the belly band and the dog panty type diaper.  Nothing on the market worked well for male dogs; we were living proof.  Other dog diapers slipped off, scooched around on their own and the dogs could get them off if they wanted as well.  

In 2004 Poochie Pants was born...diapers that were functional and fashionable.   Once we marketed the boys version we started getting requests for the girls dog diaper.  So they were added to the product line shortly there after.
